Welcome to  Peloton Tours

Cycling has grown beyond all recognition in the last few years.

Satellite television coverage, together with the outstanding success of British riders have raised the profile to a point where some of us qualify for the 'Sunday Times' acronyn of "mamils" (middle aged men in lycra!).  Apart from the sheer pleasure of getting out and riding, the fun of all the gear, another fantastic experience is to ride in the tracks of the very best riders in the World.

Tour Of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix evoke memories of cycling heroics and history. These are two of the 5 monuments and probably the most famous, most coveted amongst the 'Peloton' and the hardest to win.  Fortunately there are now sportives for both events, so that we can try to tackle the 'Koppenberg', 'Kappelmuur' or 'the cobbles of the Arenberg Forest' and finally the Roubaix Velodrome.  If you've never raced in this region then there is nothing like it in the cycling world.  You'll never experience more excitement, atmosphere and thrills than the 'Northern Classics'.

For that reason I have set up Peloton Tours to take you to the heart of the action, both as a rider and a spectator.  Aside of being a fan, I have been organising trips to events for 10 years now.  Before that I gained invaluble experience over 6 years as General Manager for one of the largest private ski companies in the UK.  The groups will be small, no more than 8 riders, so that you will be looked after in the way you expect.  I am a British Cycling Level 2 Coach and can assist with your technique and training.  Furthermore, via the web links, you will see that I am a qualified personal trainer and will offer any advice you require.  I will be with you all the way in the 'Sportives' and 'Spain' trips providing you with all the support and back up required.

In 2012 I am running a trip to the Spring Classic of The Amstel Gold Race weekend.  This trip combines the 'Official Sportive For Amateurs' on the Saturday followed by watching our heroes in action, on the course the following day.  A full on action weekend of participation, spectating and celebrating is promised!  In May there will an 'Etape Preparation' and a late summer trip to the Costa Blanca region of Spain.  Many of the professional teams from the peloton, including Sky, Radioshack, Radobank and Katusha, use this area for their pre-season training.  It is simply stunning in terms of weather, routes and facilities which makes it ideal for those wishing to train seriously over a long weekend.  For more information on these and other trips please email me

I look forward to seeing you soon,
